On November 27, in collaboration with the Chania Urban Youth Observatory, teachers from the 10th Elementary School in Halepa, and the students of the school, we had the opportunity to enjoy a very pleasant and interactive walk through the streets of the Halepa neighborhood.

Through lively storytelling and wonderful images from the narrow streets of Halepa, the students discovered the history of their neighborhood and became familiar with its many different dimensions. During the walk, they explored both the diplomatic and cosmopolitan character of Halepa and its industrial side, especially in the Tabakaria area, which forms an important part of the history and identity of the district.

This experience offered a meaningful way for students to connect with the place where they live and study, approaching local history not as something distant, but as a living part of everyday life. Walks like this create opportunities for observation, discussion, and a deeper understanding of the urban landscape through memory, stories, and shared experience.

We would like to warmly thank everyone who participated and contributed to this engaging and rewarding activity.
